Carolyn Ann "Carrie" Nygard, 97, Blackfoot, died Tuesday, Jan. 2. 1990 at Bingham Memorial Nursing Home in Blackfoot fra causes incident to age.She was born Sept. 30, 1892, in Denver, the daughter of Soren and Hannah Storey Thomsen.
After graduating from business college in 1910, she came to Idaho. She married Grover I. Nygard Sept.. 15, 1914, at Blackfoot, where they made their home.
She worked at a sales clerk for many years at J. C. Penney Co. and Estensen Variety Store.
She was a member of Jason Lee Memorial Methodist Church in Blackfoot. She was acitive in the United Women`s Society, Progress Rebekahs Lodge Nr. 48 IOOF, Ladies Auxiliary Patriarch Militant Pocatello No. 11, and the American War Mothers.
She enjoyed fishing, crocheting an raising flowers.
She is survived by one son, Wendell G. Gygard af Seattle; one grandson Kenneth Nygard of Seattle; two great-grandsons, Karl an Kory Nygard, both of Seattle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and af sister Margaret Christensen.
